Vert Skating

Histoy of Vert Skating

Known as "sidewalk surfing" skateboards were basically used to get to and from the surf spots. They were also used as something to surf while the waves were flat. aslo trying to follow the surfing consept early skaters used pools to skate in, thus the halfpipe was born and so was vert skating. As a result of the "vert" skating movement, skate parks had to contend with high-liability costs that led to many park closures. In response, vert skaters started making their own ramps evolving the sport with the spins in the air and using the street tricks such as the kickflip, heelflip, and all other variations also improved the sport.
