David Ortiz In 2003, "Big Papi" David Ortiz signed a free agent contract with the Boston Red Sox. In 2004, the Red Sox are well known for their unbelieveable comeback against the Yankees in the ALCS. David Ortiz played a big role in this, hitting a walk-off homerun in game 4. Because of this he became the post season MVP. His career batting average is .281, and has 351 homeruns. He has been involved in 6 different allstar games. He also won the 2010 State Farm Home Run Derby. |

Interesting Facts of Fenway Parkk The green monster used to be navy blue. The green monster stands 37 feet tall. There is only one red seat in the ball park. All the rest are green. The right foul pole is named "Peskys Pole". The original seats in the grandstands are still in tact, and are only 15 inches wide. The street that goes in front of Fenway Park is named Yawkey Way.
