Ted Williams

        

Ted Williams was a red sox player from 1939 to 1942 and from 1946 to 1960. He was elected to the All Star Game 19 different times. In 1966, he was voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He finished his career with a .344 batting average, 521 home runs, 2,654 hits, and 1,839 RBI's. He played left field. His career year was 1941, when he hit .406 with 37 HR, 120 RBI, and 135 runs scored. Williams was the last player in Major League Baseball to bat over .400 in a single season. He batted .406 in 1941. In 1946 and 1949, he was voted American League's Most Valuable Player.
